As a former WUSPBA President, I can attest that Kevin MacHeffner is a master at planning and organizing Massed Bands ceremonies for large and small Highland Games. Not only is Kevin a World Class Drum Major, but he is an accomplished musician who can play the pipes, all the various drums in a pipe band and a number of other musical instruments. This ability gives Kevin a decided edge because he is fully aware of those maneuvers that pipe bands are capable of performing well -- and those that sound like good ideas but invariably turn out badly. As a result, the Massed Bands performances Kevin directs are well-organized, fast-paced and entertaining, to the delight of the games sponsor, the participants - and most important, the audience.

Andrew and Kevin are wonderful teachers, cheerleaders and psychologists!! Together they have taught me not only how to be a better tenor drummer but also how to handle the nerves of competition whether it be solo or band. Andrew is a wonderful instructor for bass and snare, he has really taken my son a long way and helped him become a better drum sgt. Andrew is there for his students at competitions.
