The following bands currently benefit from the instructional services of our faculty.

GRADE 2 BANDS

James J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band — Covina, CA
Formed in 2003, the band is still fairly new on the scene and is carefully growing in both rank and popularity. The band competes in Grade 2 and as currently the only band active in that grade in the western United States frequently travels to competitions in the Pacific Northwest. Principal Andrew Hoinacki was appointed as Drum Sergeant since December of 2005.

Atlanta Pipe Band — Atlanta, GA
A recognized leader amoung Southern U.S. pipe bands, this organization has a well-rounded 35-year history of competitive successes and notable performances. Principal Kevin MacHeffner has begun consulting their midsection for the 2007 season.

Irish Pipers Band of San Francisco — San Francisco, CA
An historic band, formed in 1932, the band has been a prominent musical and social component of San Francisco's Irish community. Principal Andrew Hoinacki has begun instructing as of January 2007.

Macalester College Pipe Band — St Paul, Minnesota
The premier band of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis - St Paul, Minnesota, currently competes with tremendous success in Grade 3. Associate Steve Sutherland has been the Drum Sergeant since 2000.

Monmouth College Pipe Band — Monmouth, IL
The band competes in Grade 3 and features a rotating roster of student members and community players. Principal Andrew Hoinacki was Leading Drummer and Instructor during his tenure there from 1996 through 1998. Assistant Faculty member Andrew Watson is currently attending the school, has lead the corps and also teaches players and students within the band.

St Andrew's Presbyterian College Pipe Band — Laurinburg, NC
St. Andrew's Presbyterian College has long been tied to its Scottish roots and has had a school pipe band since 1991. Associate Faculty member Tom Foote is the drumming instructor for the band. Assistant Faculty member Bryce Parker is currently attending SAPC and serves as Leading Drummer for the band.

GRADE 4 BANDS

Desert Skye Pipes and Drums — Las Vegas, NV
An up-and-coming group located in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. Principal Andrew Hoinacki has been routinely instructing their drum corps and individual drummers, and providing ensemble consulting since May 2004.

Monterey Bay Pipe Band — Salinas, CA
The band has existed under several names over the past many years and the current Monterey Bay Pipe Band competes in Grade IV often featuring in the prize lists. Principal Andrew Hoinacki has begun instructing the drum corps in the offseason of 2007-8.

Pasadena Scots Pipe Band — Pasadena, CA
A relatively new band as of 2007, the band got to a great start winning the WUSPBA Champion Supreme award for Grade 4 in its first season. Principal Andrew Hoinacki was brought in as the full-time Midsection Instructor in September of 2007.
