The Principal Partners are and have been the driving force behind ScottishDrumming.com since the very beginning. Each of them have their own specialty discipline for which they are most known. However both Andrew and Kevin are well-rounded in that they are both able to play snare drum, tenor drum and bass drum as well as act as drum major. You can be certain that when you are dealing with one of our Principals that you will be able to receive top-notch assistance within the full scope of your drumming and deportment needs.
Andrew Hoinacki
San Juan Capistrano, CA With over 20 years of competitive experience in snare, tenor and bass drumming, our founder has established a winning reputation as a player, instructor and adjudicator. Andrew serves as the Drum Sergeant of the Grade 2 James J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band. He is member of the Western United States Pipe Band Association Music Board and is a certified adjudicator on their A-panel for solo drumming, band drumming and band ensemble. Andrew is available as a judge and clinical instructor throughout North America and teaches privately in Southern California. |
Kevin MacHeffner
Mesa, Arizona As the only Drum Major from outside the British Isles ever to place in the top three at the World Championships, Kevin`s prizewinning record is simply incredible. He holds many notable competitive benchmarks both at home and overseas. Not only is he an active Drum Major, Kevin is also an active professional tenor drummer. He is a Drum Major and Tenor Drummer with the Grade 1 Los Angeles Scots Pipe Band. |
