Bryce has been drumming for 7 years starting at the age of ten. He learned under local instructors and grasped the idea of pipe band drumming rather quickly. He then began learning under members of the Misty Isle Pipe Band, which he later joined. Bryce traveled to Scotland for The World's and competed with Misty Isle placing well in Grade 4.It was the very next year that Bryce made a significant jump and joined the Los Angeles Scots in Grade 1 where he plays today. Bryce has been commuting from Las Vegas to Orange County as a member of the LA Scots for three years and has played under Drum Sergeants Andrew Hoinacki, Andy Brubaker and now Richard Baughman.

Bryce is an active Grade 1 soloist having won the Western US Pipe Band Association Champion Supreme award in the other amateur grade over the years. He hopes to be able to compete at the Professional level in the coming few years. In other musical interests, Bryce played snare and tenors in his high school marching band and also plays drum set in a local rock band called Facing Monday. Brye recently received academic and musical scholarships to attentd St Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina, where he will begin in the Fall of 2007. He is available for private lessons in Las Vegas during his breaks from college and will be available for lessons near his school during the academic year. He is also available for band clinics and drum corps workshops.
