Assistant Faculty
Our Assistant Faculty members are drummers who are beginning to make their name known as both up-and-coming players and capable instructors. They are upper-grade soloists who are ready, willing and able to teach proper methods to brand new drummers, as well as to assist novice players develop musically and to improve technique.
David Boyd
Santa Clarita, California
David is an accomplished Grade I soloist, with over 15 years of experience in Scottish snare drumming. He served as Drum Sergeant for 2 years with the James J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band before inviting principle partner, Andrew Hoinacki, to relieve him of his duties. David has experience of playing lead, and knows what you need to contribute as a core player. Currently he is providing individual instruction and workshops for drum corps all over Southern California.

Bryce Parker
Las Vegas, Nevada Laurinburg, North Carolina
Bryce is a member of the Los Angeles Scots Pipe Band and is a Grade 1 solo drummer. He has also served as the Drum Sergeant of the Desert Skye Pipes and Drums in Grade 4, his local band from Las Vegas. As of Fall 2007, Bryce will split his time between college in North Carolina and breaks at home in Las Vegas. He is available for lessons and workshops in both locations.

Andrew Watson
Hoffman Estates, Illinois Monmouth, Illinois
Andrew is a Grade 2 soloist and a member of the City of Chicago Pipe Band. He has pursued an education in percussion for over 10 years and has been successfully involved in the pipe band community for the past few years. Andrew provides individual instructions anywhere in the Chicago area, and will be starting as an instructor at Monmouth College in the fall of 2007.
